A: Approved Home Health is licensed by the State of Florida to provide care in Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties.
A: No. Approved Home Health staff is available for shifts of any length, but there may be a higher rate charged for visits of less than three hours.
A: Our policy is that all referrals are seen by our registered nurse (RN) for an evaluation within 24 hours of the initial call. Quite often, we’re able to make that visit within just a few hours.
A: All the members of our personal care team are licensed Home Health Aides or Certified Nursing Assistants. Our staff is bonded and undergo extensive background checks and drug screening when hired. We also believe it’s very important for our staff to continue to build their expertise, so they all participate in ongoing monthly education to keep their skills sharp.
A: Services for our clients may be covered by long term care insurance or by family members, or you may choose to receive a weekly invoice. There is no Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement, but we do have contracts with a number of local agencies, some of which provide funding for those who qualify.
