Long term health care is the care people need for assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). ADLs include bathing, dressing, walking, using the bathroom, etc. These are services that are not typically covered by private insurance or medicare. These services are generally provided by a family member, privately paid caregiver, and home health agencies.
